Napoli have purchased Alisson Santos outright from Sporting CP for €16m, but must now choose between Anan Khalaili of USG and Fiorentina’s Dodo.
The Partenopei were impressed with the first six months of left-sided winger Alisson Santos after his loan move from Sporting CP in January.
He scored four goals in 14 Serie A appearances and it never seemed to be in any real doubt that the move would be made permanent at the end of the season.
Fabrizio Romano reports Sporting were informed today that the €16m option to buy had been activated, on top of the original €3.5m loan fee.
Now Napoli are looking at the right-back roles too and are down to two choices.
Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà claims that their first pick would be Anan Khalaili, who has long been on their radar.
However, the €25m asking price set by Union Saint-Gilloise for the Israel international is considered too steep, especially as Giovanni Di Lorenzo is still in the squad.
If the Belgians do not lower their demands, then it is more likely that the Partenopei will turn to Dodo , who is ready to leave Fiorentina with a contract running down.
His price-tag is a more manageable €15m, and he is represented by the same agent that deals with current Napoli winger David Neres.
Roma have also shown interest in Brazilian Dodo, who is 27 years old compared to Khalaili’s 21.
