The Champions League Round of 16 will feature PSG taking on Chelsea over two legs. The two teams will play each other at the Parc des Princes and at Stamford Bridge.

PSG needed to play in the knockout stage playoffs of the Champions League to reach the Round of 16. PSG defeated AS Monaco 5-4 over two legs after winning the first leg 3-2 and drawing the second leg 2-2.

Chelsea reached the Champions League Round of 16 by finishing 6th in the Champions League table with 16 points. Their record after eight league phase matches was five wins, one draw, and two losses.

In recent form, PSG lost 1-3 to AS Monaco in Ligue 1, while Chelsea defeated Wrexham 4-2 in extra time in Round 5 of the FA Cup.

PSG and Chelsea played each other last summer in the FIFA Club World Cup Final in the United States. Chelsea defeated PSG 3-0 at MetLife Stadium with two goals from Cole Palmer and a goal from Joao Pedro to win the FIFA Club World Cup.
