Franco Carboni is reportedly on the cusp of swapping Inter Milan for Empoli for a season-long loan.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio via FCInterNews, the Argentine wingback will undergo his medical tomorrow.
After agreeing on a loan deal for Valentin Carboni with Genoa, Inter will also offload his brother.
Indeed, the 22-year-old is close to joining Empoli on loan.
In fact, the deal has become a mere formality as the parties defined all the details.
Franco Carboni spent last season on loan at Venezia.
However, he struggled for regular first-team action at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo.
Out of favor with Eusebio Di Francesco, Carboni only made eight league appearances.
Therefore, he returned to San Siro in June, only for Inter to find him a new club a month later.
Meanwhile, Empoli failed to maintain their Serie A status in 2024/25.
As such, they’re strengthening their squad to secure a quick return to the top flight.
Carboni should officially become a new Azzurri player by the end of Wednesday.
