Report – Inter Milan Consider Handing In-Demand Manager A New Multi-Year Contract To Fend Off Foreign Suitors

It’s a near-certainty that Simone Inzaghi will sign a new contract with Inter Milan at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Per Tuttosport via FCInterNews, it may not be a short-term extension as initially expected.

Simone Inzaghi has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at San Siro since replacing Antonio Conte in 2021.

Indeed, he has won six major titles, including last season’s Scudetto.

Furthermore, he has become only the second Nerazzurri boss to guide the team to two Champions League finals.

Therefore, the Italian heavyweights are keen to reward their high-performing coach with a new deal.

Inter Milan Looking to Hand Simone Inzaghi Multi-Year Contract

Inzaghi’s current contract expires next summer.

However, negotiations over an immediate renewal are underway, with Inter eager to continue with the 49-year-old.

Meanwhile, foreign clubs are lurking in the shadows.

Liverpool and Manchester United had tried to lure the ex-Lazio coach to the Premier League last summer but to no avail.

Additionally, Al-Hilal’s recent attempt to sign Inzaghi has fallen through, as he turned down a chance to move to the desert.

Aware of the situation, Inter may pitch their in-demand manager with a multi-year contract.

The club’s initial thought was a short-term extension. However, they’re now seeking a two-year renewal.
