Report – Inter Milan Keen To Sign Rennes Starlet To Bolster Midfield Options

Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan are reportedly keen to sign Rennes youngster Djaoui Cisse to bolster their midfield options.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the Italian giants have switched their attention toward the 21-year-old.

Despite trying to lure Manu Kone away from Roma, Inter are on the verge of admitting defeat.

Indeed, Gian Piero Gasperini’s men have no intention of selling the French star after a superb season.

Therefore, Inter could soon lodge an opening bid for Cisse.

Inter Milan Earmark Djaoui Cisse as Concrete Midfield Target

Though Djaoui Cisse is relatively unknown outside Ligue 1, Inter view the young gun as a gamble worth taking.

Indeed, scouts have described the France U21 international as a modern-day midfielder.

Cisse’s technical qualities and versatility make him an appealing option.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri remain attentive to market opportunities, and one such could be Mahamadou Doumbia.

Contracted to Antwerp until 2027, Doumbia is among the brightest talents in the Jupiler Pro League.

However, Cisse is the club’s highest priority at the moment.
