Inter Milan playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu remains a target for Galatasaray despite the Turks’ failed attempt to sign him earlier this summer.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri will not entertain offers for the Turkey captain in September.
Heavily linked with a return to his homeland, Hakan Calhanoglu was reportedly close to joining Fenerbahce in July.
However, the transfer fell through as the Canaries failed to meet Inter’s demands.
Furthermore, Galatasaray came nowhere near Inter’s asking price.
The Rams Park giants were reportedly ready to offer around €10 million for the former AC Milan midfielder.
Yet, that figure wasn’t remotely close to Inter’s €30 million request.
Despite being willing to improve their bid, it’s too little too late for Okan Buruk’s side.
Indeed, with the transfer window officially closed yesterday, Inter can no longer sign a replacement.
Therefore, they’re reluctant to let Calhanoglu leave the club in September.
Not even an offer in the region of €20 million would be enough to change their minds.
