Villarreal have not given up on their quest to sign Inter Milan’s Tajon Buchanan amid interest from Sassuolo.
Per Sky Sport via FCInter1908, the Yellow Submarine will soon re-establish contact with the Nerazzurri.
Tajon Buchanan spent the second half of last season on loan at Estadio de la Ceramica.
However, Villarreal refused to activate a buyout clause in the deal after he failed to secure regular first-team football.
Despite letting the Canadian return to San Siro, the Spaniards are ready to give him a second chance.
Villarreal had an opportunity to buy Buchanan for as low as €13 million.
Yet, they let that train pass and are hoping to strike another loan agreement with Inter.
But this time, they must beat Sassuolo.
In addition to Neroverdi’s genuine interest in the former Club Brugge wingback, there’s another hurdle.
Indeed, Inter are not enthusiastic about sanctioning another loan deal.
Therefore, they’re seeking a permanent sale, with Sassuolo reportedly willing to negotiate the terms.
