Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini says he doesn’t want to sell Inter Milan target Manu Kone, but admits signings will be tough without sales.

Gasperini gave his thoughts ahead of La Dea’s friendly match against Neom, via FCInterNews.

Last week, news emerged that Inter Milan are interested in Roma midfielder Manu Kone.

The Frenchman has come into the Nerazzurri’s sights as a reinforcement in holding midfield.

Reports indicate that Inter put a bid of around €45 million on the table.

However, subsequent reports indicated that the Giallorossi have decided not to accept Inter’s offer.

That despite the fact that the capital club are facing a somewhat difficult financial situation.

Therefore, there is no hiding the fact that a sale of a player like Kone for a substantial fee could certainly be a big help for Roma financially.

Roma Coach Gasperini Cagey On The Future Of Inter Target Kone

Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini said about Kone’s future that “we’ll see what happens in the next fifteen days.”

“Kone is a top player,” the coach added. “He would be a big loss for us.”

“We need to see what we can do. You all know that Financial Fair Play is an issue for us.”

“We’ve been inactive in the market for more than twenty days,” Gasperini said. “And I’m not happy with that.”

“We’ll see if we can get anything done without losing players,” the coach said.

“I’ve made clear what needs to be done. And the club have been very clear with me.”

“We hope that we can achieve what we’re trying to,” the Roma coach concluded.
