Son Heung-min looks likely to end his 10-year stay at Tottenham amid heavy Saudi Arabia interest

Tottenham Hotspur have secured Champions League qualification for the next season, and they have brought in a talented manager in Thomas Frank to take them forward. If they can bring in quality players during the summer window, they might be able to do well in the Premier League and Champions League.

At the same time, the Danish tactician must also decide which players to keep at the club when rebuilding the squad. And one player who has been under constant speculation in recent weeks is Son Heung-min.

After almost a decade in North London, it has been widely reported that Son Heung-min could leave the club. Several cash-rich Saudi Pro League clubs have been linked with a move for the Tottenham skipper. Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Ahli, Al Qadsiah and Al-Nassr have shown interest in the South Korean international and they are prepared to splash €40 million for his services.

The 32-year-old has a contract at N17 until the end of the 2025/26 season, which means this summer presents the best opportunity for the Lilywhites to cash in on the versatile forward. And it looks like Thomas Frank has made a decision on the Spurs icon.

According to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Frank is ready to part ways with Son should he also be willing to leave Tottenham this summer. The Tottenham star is accepting his time in North London is coming to an end. While the forward is ‘welcome’ to remain at the club should he wish, however, it is mostly likely that Son will have to accept being a squad under player the new boss.

After an underwhelming season as per the high standards he has set over the years in the Premier League, Son’s future has been the main talking point at the club. After 10 long years, he finally fulfilled his dream of lifting a trophy with the Lilywhites. Therefore, he has the chance to leave gracefully after winning the Europa League trophy in May.

Set to turn 33 next month, Son should end his N17 chapter and move onto pastures new where he can enjoy the twilight of his career.

Tottenham have already started looking for replacements, with latest reports suggesting the club bosses are ‘increasingly confident’ of getting a deal for Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo over the line.
