Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs keen on signing Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-Jae.

According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, they are one of the clubs “starting to make moves” for the 28-year-old South Korean international, who could be on his way out of the German club this summer.

They may face competition from rivals Chelsea as well. It is no secret that Tottenham need more depth in their defensive unit, and the South Korean could prove to be a solid acquisition. Cristian Romero has been linked with a move away from the club, and Min-Jae could be a quality replacement.

He is at the peak of his powers, and the opportunity to move to the Premier League could be exciting. Furthermore, Tottenham star Son Heung-min might play a key role in convincing his compatriot to join the club.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs can secure an agreement with the German champions. The 28-year-old central defender helped Bayern Munich win the league title last season, and he understands what it takes to play for a top club and compete for trophies.

Tottenham are looking to build a squad capable of consistently challenging for silverware. The South Korean would certainly be a useful addition.

He has the physical attributes to adapt to Premier League football and could make an immediate impact at Tottenham. He has previously been described as “outstanding” by teammate Joshua Kimmich.

Tottenham could be an attractive destination for the experienced defender. They won the UEFA Europa League last season and have secured Champions League qualification for the upcoming campaign. With a talented squad and a quality manager like Thomas Frank, their project could appeal to the South Korean international this summer.
