Some new players are likely to make their unofficial debuts in Sydney, and a few senior players will get their first minutes in the preseason.

Tottenham also head into the new season with Andy Robertson, Sandro Tonali, and Mateus Fernandes amongst others.

Both Jan Paul van Hecke and Andy Robertson are likely to be making their debut in Tottenham colours this summer. Richarlison is also expected to be the first choice to lead the attack after he was rested at the start of the pre-season, while teenage winger Mikey Moore may be back in the fray again under De Zerbi.

Tottenham will also be missing many players, with De Zerbi ensuring that workloads are managed after the long haul journey across Australia and New Zealand. Midfielder Mateus Fernandes has been ruled fit despite recent doubts, but minutes could be managed.

  • Midfielders: Anthony Caceres, Corey Hollman
