Six Kings Slam 2025: Preview and schedule

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will once again play the same tournament. The four-time Grand Slam champion failed to defend the recently concluded Shanghai Masters after cramps forced him to retire mid-match in the third round.

Alcaraz skipped the tournament because of an injury he suffered during the Japan Open, which he clinched by beating Taylor Fritz. The Shanghai Masters was won by qualifier Valentin Vacherot.

Both the World No.1 and World No.2 will now be shifting their focus to the Six Kings Slam- an exhibition event in Riyadh. Apart from Alcaraz and Sinner, the other participants are: Novak Djokovic, Fritz, Alexander Zverev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek ace replaced Jack Draper, who is on the sidelines due to an injury.

Sascha will clash with Fritz in the quarterfinals, while Tsitsipas will meet Sinner in the other quarterfinal. Alcaraz and Djokovic have already booked a spot in the semifinals. The former will meet Zverev or Fritz, while the latter will face Sinner or Tsitsipas.

Six Kings Slam 2025 schedule

The Six Kings Slam is scheduled to start on October 15, while the final will be held on October 18. On the 17th, there will be a rest day, given that the ATP rule doesn’t permit players to compete for three consecutive days in an exhibition event.

On Day 1, Alexander Zverev will face Taylor Fritz, while Jannik Sinner will clash with Stefanos Tsitsipas. On the following day, Alcaraz and Djokovic will meet their respective semifinal opponents. Then on the final day, apart from the championship clash, there will also be a match for third and fourth place.

The total prize pool is $13,500,000, from which each player will receive $1,500,000 just because of their participation. The winner will pocket $4.5 million (plus the $1.5 million). The $6 million is the highest prize money in tennis, but in the official events, this year’s US Open offered $5 million to the men’s and women’s singles champions.

Where to watch the Six Kings Slam 2025?

The fans will be able to see the player compete in the Six Kings Slam on Netflix, which has acquired global rights for the second edition of the Riyadh event.

The players who are favorites to take home the $6 million prize money are Alcaraz and Sinner, as no player other than them has dominated on the tour since the 2024 season. They, in fact, took home the last eight Grand Slam titles.

The six-time Grand Slam champion won eight titles from 10 finals this year, while Sinner grabbed three from seven finals, losing four matches to Alcaraz, including at the French Open and the US Open.

Apart from them, Djokovic is also in form. Despite not winning much, he is playing consistent tennis and is making deep runs. He has yet to clinch a trophy since the Geneva Open. But apart from the ATP 250 event, the 24-time Grand Slam champion reached the semifinals of every Grand Slam tournament this season, as well as the final of the Miami Open (lost to Jakub Mensik) and the semifinals of the Shanghai Masters, where Vacherot ended his run in straight sets.

Zverev and Tsitsipas have won only one title- the BMW Open and the Dubai Open. Both players are dealing with a massive slump in form. But Fritz is not, for he has so far featured in three finals, winning the Stuttgart Open and the Eastbourne International and losing the Japan Open. Alcaraz clinched the Tokyo ATP 500 event.

After the Six Kings Slam, Sinner will fly to Vienna for the ATP 500 event, where in 2023, he won the tournament by beating Daniil Medvedev. Alcaraz’s next tournament will be the Paris Masters, where Zverev will enter as the defending champion. Fritz will be the favorite to reach the semifinals of the exhibition event, given that the American has won their last six matches.
