Episode Revenant includes the first new dungeon of the year, Vesper’s Host, in Destiny 2. Vesper’s Host will be similar to raids, being the first dungeon to have a contest mode in Destiny 2, with the first three fireteams to clear the dungeon getting the glory and rewards.

Vesper’s Host Dungeon Release Date

The Destiny 2 Vesper’s Host Dungeon has been officially announced by Bungie to be released on October 11, 2024, three days after the launch of Episode Revenant. The contest mode of Vesper’s Host would be active for the first 48 hours after the release of the mode, and during this period, expect to face more aggressive enemies and intricate mechanics all over the dungeon. Once the first three fireteams have completed the dungeon and claimed their rewards, the Vesper’s Host normal mode will be made available to the players.

Bungie hosted a special developer livestream to reveal details about Destiny 2’s Episode Revenant. And with this new episode, comes one of the most anticipated content drops of the year in Destiny 2 and in the gaming community. It has been announced to officially launch next week on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in Destiny 2. Before the livestream, Bungie had consistently talked about increasing the challenge in Destiny 2, and dungeons have forever been some of the most difficult endgame activities in Destiny 2 that require proper coordination between fireteam members to be able to succeed. With that, players concluded that since Vesper’s Host is the first dungeon to have a contest mode in the game, the new dungeon would be more challenging than any other dungeon in Destiny 2.

Clearing the Vesper’s Host dungeon within the first 48 hours of its release would win you a special emblem and the dungeon’s exotic weapon, including a few other rewards. Also, a fan-loved Destiny 1 weapon Ice Breaker, an Exotic Sniper rifle would be available to the players in the Vesper’s Host dungeon, as confirmed by Bungie in their 10th anniversary post. Bungie said, “As you may have already guessed thanks to our key art, a certain Exotic Sniper Rifle, one considered a myth by many at this point, is resurfacing in the upcoming Dungeon. We’ll share more info at a later date, but we hope this helped… break the ice.”

Destiny 2 is surely planning to bring some insane features, including the Ice Breaker Exotic weapon from Destiny 2 that players thought was a myth at some point, and a lot of rewards for players who beat the dungeons. Players are definitely going to be satisfied with what Bungie is doing with Destiny 2. In all, Vesper’s Host would be the most challenging dungeon in the game, and while that’s the case, it would offer worthwhile rewards to players who complete the dungeon. As the new dungeon is fast approaching, players are kept with sleepless nights as they all await the day and the moment of Vesper’s Host dungeon’s release.

Emma Jacob Went Missing in Platteville, Wisconsin. Here's What's Known

Emma Jacob was a 22-year-old woman who went missing in Platteville, WI. Details are scant about her disappearance, but tragic news was delivered by a woman on Facebook, who says she is Jacob's sister. And Lafayette County sheriff's officials confirmed to Men's Journal that Jacob is deceased. On July 22, Sydney Wiltsie wrote on Facebook, "My little sister Emma Jacob has been missing since around 9:30 this morning. Her last pinged location was near the mound, or the 'big M' in Platteville, WI. Her car, phone, keys, and purse were all found there. Police are involved and we ask that everyone in the Platteville area keeps an eye out for her and that she is found safe. Please keep her and our family in your prayers. 22 y.o. Female, roughly 5’6”, 120lbs, dark brown curly hair." Then, in an update, she wrote, "Update: She has been found. At this time we ask you please respect our families privacy as we grieve the loss of our daughter, sister, and auntie. Thank you." "My beautiful baby sister and my best friend in the whole world. I love you so much," she wrote on July 23, sharing another photo. That comment thread filled up with people offering their condolences. That hasn't stopped people online from speculating, without evidence, that Jacob's case could be linked to the disappearance of Viterbo college student Eliotte Heinz, who vanished on July 20 after a night in a bar in downtown La Crosse, WI. To be clear, there is no information to tie them together, and they're not even located in the same city. There is no evidence at this point that foul play was even involved in Jacob's death, and searchers are hoping to find Heinz alive. The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department confirmed to Men's Journal that Jacob died, but could not provide additional details on any cause of death, other than saying she was found in "rural Platteville" and that investigators "don't think it's related" to the disappearance of Heinz. Wiltsie limited comments on her post. "I understand everyone wanting to relate this to the other missing girls in Wisconsin but it’s very insensitive to Sydney and her family so maybe take those conversations private and keep this post strictly for information you may have directly related to Emma or prayers for a safe return. I am sure the police are aware of the other cases and working to connect any pieces," one woman wrote on the comment thread. La Crosse and Platteville are more than 100 miles apart, and there is no known link between the two women, with the exception that they are both 22 and from college towns in the Universities of Wisconsin system. Men's Journal contacted Platteville police on July 23 and asked about the Jacob case. Police said that case is being handled by the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Police Department. However, that police department told Men's Journal to contact the UW-Platteville public relations spokeswoman, who has not yet responded to a request for comment.

Green Bay Packers: TE Tucker Kraft Tries New Position on Day 1 of Camp – Just for Fun or Smidge of Serious?

The Green Bay Packers started training camp Wednesday, and on at least one rep, the kickoff went to an unexpected returner: tight end Tucker Kraft. Whether or not they plan to seriously evaluate him as an option, it’s a development that caught the eye of reporter Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Green Bay Packers shake it up to kick off camp with Kraft, Melton updates Earlier this afternoon, Scheidman shared his observation to the bewilderment of fans on social media. Until further notice, it seems safest to assume that the guys are just having fun. Kraft lacks a kick returner’s build and sprint speed, but at 6-foot-5 and 259 pounds, he’s been dubbed a “human monster truck” for his ability to absorb contact and break tackles after the catch. Most likely, that’s not a skilll that would translate from Kraft’s capacity as a passcatcher to a receiver of kicks. There’s a reason teams rarely plug tight ends in that role. One notable exception is New Orleans’ do-everything weapon Taysom Hill, who also plays quarterback and frequently runs the ball. He’s also returned 20 kickoffs in his career, but only six since his rookie year in 2018. Last season, the Packers relied on cornerback Keisean Nixon for most kickoff opportunities. Wide receiver Jayden Reed was the main man on punts, returning 14 times for 110 yards. Nixon amassed 576 yards between both return types. Schneidman’s Kraft news comes alongside Bo Melton’s more surprising, now-official position switch from receiver to cornerback. Fans aren’t sure what to think. Most aren’t taking Kraft’s rumble too seriously. At South Dakota State, Kraft returned two kickoffs for 34 yards. He has not run back an NFL kick. The former third-round pick enjoyed a highly successful second season: 50 catches, 707 yards, and seven touchdowns. Seeing Kraft tuck it and truck should be a common sight in 2025, just not, most likely, as a returner.

Blue Jays aren't getting enough from their $500M man

Toronto Blue Jays fans don't have much to complain about. Despite losing 5-4 on Tuesday to the New York Yankees, their team leads the AL East by three games heading into play Wednesday against the Yankees. But not everything is perfect north of the U.S. border. Keegan Matheson, Blue Jays reporter for MLB.com, echoed that sentiment during Tuesday night's loss to New York in a post shared on X. "The #BlueJays need more from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and I don't understand why that's only being whispered instead of said out loud," Matheson wrote. Matheson has been beating this drum recently, and he's spot-on. Guerrero Jr., who signed a 14-year, $500M extension in April, hasn't produced superstar numbers. Through 99 games, Vladdy has a .283 average, 13 HRs and 48 RBI. Per ESPN, the 26-year-old is on pace for 21 HRs and 77 RBI, which would by far his lowest full-season totals in those categories since his rookie season in 2019. Although they have one of MLB's best records, the Blue Jays (59-42) lack pop in the lineup. Toronto ranks 20th in the majors in home runs with 105. If Vladdy finds his power stroke and turn it on in the final months of the regular season, the Blue Jays will go from being a playoff contender to a threat to win the World Series. If he doesn't, the Blue Jays aren't getting their money's worth.

Packers’ Critical Position Battle Takes Center Stage at Training Camp

Head coach Matt LaFleur and the Packers are turning up the heat on the battle for the starting left tackle job. As the Packers’ offense aims to make some big strides, and faciliate a big leap from quarterback Jordan Love, in his third season as the starter, improving the overall play of the offensive line figures to be a major focus during training camp this summer and into the regular season. According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, the left tackle job figures to take center stage over the next month. “Despite starting almost every game the past two seasons,” Demovsky writes for ESPN. “Rasheed Walker does not appear to have a firm hold on the job. Jordan Morgan, a 2024 first-round pick, will get the chance to compete with Walker while also potentially going up against Sean Rhyan for the right guard spot. Morgan played only 186 snaps as a rookie — all at guard — because of injuries, but he was drafted as a left tackle.” Packers Have High Hopes for Jordan Morgan The Packers chose Morgan No. 25 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and while injuries derailed his rookie season, head coach Matt Lafleur has pushed the door wide open for the former Arizona standout to secure a starting job this summer. “He’s done a nice job,” LaFleur told reporters, of Morgan. “His body looks different. So, it’ll be interesting to just let it naturally and organically kind of play itself out, throughout the course of camp. “He’s going to be, he’s going to have to cross-train at guard and we’ll see where it all lands.” Limited to just 65 snaps last season, Morgan allowed three quarterback hits and seven pressures, but the Packers are betting that he has significantly more upside this season and beyond. For Morgan, it starts with nailing down a starting job this summer, which it seems Green Bay is intent on giving him every opportunity to do.
