In Ghost of Yotei, Bamboo Strikes are quick-timed events in the game that permanently increase your maximum Spirit. Essentially, you approach the bamboo podiums and tap the corresponding button combos whenever they appear on your screen. There are 15 different Bamboo Strikes you can complete in the game, and some are harder than others to complete. The Atago Bamboo Strike is probably one of the more annoying ones to complete, and here’s how to stop the lightning at the Atago Bamboo Strike location.
Of the 15 Bamboo Strikes you can complete throughout the game, the Atago Bamboo Strike can be a frustrating challenge. It is located in the Atago Rice Fields on Oshima Coast, northwest of the settlement. The reason players can feel frustrated completing this particular Bamboo Strike is that you’ll only be able to start the first round of quick-time events, then you’ll be struck by lightning and won’t be able to continue. So, how can you complete this Bamboo Strike without being zapped every time?
Don’t worry, you don’t have to travel to another region or fight anyone to get around the lightning strikes. There will be two katanas and four yaris behind you, as you stand at the bamboo podium. You will need to pick them up and throw them elsewhere, which will act as lightning rods and attract the lightning away from the podium, allowing you to complete all three quick-timed events and the puzzle itself.
There are three stages of the Atago Bamboo Strike total. Here are the sequences for each stage:
Completing the Atago Bamboo Strike will permanently increase Atsu’s Spirit, helping you use special abilities during your gameplay. Ghost of Yotei has been out for a few weeks now, and players are enjoying their time with the game so far. Make sure to read up on guides if you want to 100% things or need a little extra help completing missions and puzzles.
