Caitlin Clark ’s injury does not make the Indiana Fever team any less dangerous, according to the head coach of the Washington Mystics, Sydney Johnson. Johnson spoke to reporters about the recent clash between the Fever and the Mystics, where his team won with a breathtaking score.

Clark has not played for the Indiana Fever for the last three games after suffering a quad injury in the game against the New York Liberty. The team reported that Clark will not be playing for the Fever for the next two weeks as a result of her injury.

“They’re good, right? So I’ve said it before the game, Caitlin’s really good. But Kelsey and AB, Hull, Sophie, Sydney, Howard, I mean, you know, this is a team that a lot of people feel threatened for the league title, and for good reason. So very, very talented team, and I think without Caitlin, you know, she has a lot of usage there, but they still play very fast. They play inside, they cut hard, and they dig in defensively. So we feel like we had to play well in order to beat them, and thankfully we did.” Sydney Johnson said to reporters after the game between the Liberty and the Mystics.

The Washington Mystics defeated the Indiana Fever with a final score of 83-77. In that game, Indiana’s offense was led by DeWanna Bonner , who chalked up 21 points, along with four boards and a solo assist, while Kelsey Mitchell added another 14 points for the team, with a single board and four helpers.

Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese Game’s Racism Allegations Shut Down After Investigation

In other news, the racism allegations against members of the crowd in the season-opening game between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky were recently shut down after an investigation was conducted by the WNBA. During the highly publicized game between the Fever and the Sky, certain members of the audience were accused of launching racial remarks against Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese, which came to light after the game ended.

The WNBA did state that they would launch an investigation into this, and so did the Indiana Fever franchise as well. However, the investigation found that they did find any solid evidence to support these allegations. This is not the first time that the Indiana Fever fandom has been accused of being racist against Angel Reese. In the previous season as well, Reese was the victim of several racist remarks by Indiana Fever fans.
