Aliyah Boston said that her injury in their game against the Portland Fever was just a cramp.

The Indiana Fever dodged a major injury scare involving their star center. Boston was seen limping in the waning moments of their road game against Portland on Saturday.

With less than six minutes left in the game, Boston went up for a fast-break layup off a Caitlin Clark pass. She went down hard after being contested by Fire guard Carla Leite.

But the 24-year-old quickly brushed it off during her post-game interview, clarifying that it was not a major injury.

“No, I’m good. I’m good,” Boston assured. “I’m good, It was just a cramp.”

Aliyah Boston’s big night not enough for Indiana Fever

Although she was able to shake it off on the bench with the help of the team’s staff, Boston wasn’t able to return to the floor and sat out the rest of the game. The Fever ultimately suffered a 100-84 loss to the Fire.

Prior to this injury scare, the South Carolina product also suffered a leg injury in February during an Unrivaled league game. She is still on a minutes restriction at this point in the season.

Boston still finished the loss with a team-high 18 points and seven rebounds. The Fever fell to a 4-4 record in the regular season and are now the fourth seed of the Eastern Conference.

Another major storyline in their game against Portland was Boston’s running mate, Clark, who had an off night that was plagued by foul trouble.

The two-time All-Star only had six points on 1-of-7 shooting and six assists. This was Clark’s first single-digit output since June 2025.

Indiana hopes to bounce back on Thursday when they face the Atlanta Dream. It will be their first Commissioner’s Cup game of the season.

The Fever will look to defend their in-season tournament and become the first WNBA team in history to win back-to-back Commissioner’s Cup titles.
