WNBA Attendance: Week In Review
A fairly solid week in terms of attendance in the WNBA. A total of 14 games were played for the week ending on June 25. The largest crowd for the week was in Phoenix on Wednesday, June 21 (11,580). Additionally, the smallest crowd for the week, though a sell-out, was the Atlanta Dream’s game on Friday, June (3,209).
Furthermore, overall league attendance is up by 15.6 percent with eight of the teams seeing an increase. The largest increase by one team is currently the Las Vegas Aces (+3,195). The largest decrease by one team currently from 2022 is the Seattle Storm (-1,613).
Below is the graphic with the comparisons to the 2022 season’s final averages. The reported capacity numbers for each arena are based on the team’s arena being fully open. Half of the league’s teams play in NBA-sized arenas that unless needed, close off their upper bowl sections*.

Attendance Report
Overall, the WNBA’s attendance peaks during the summer months of July and August. Historically, the camp days have shown to up attendance as well as several teams’ push into the playoffs. The 2023 WNBA season is roughly 40 percent through with the All-star break scheduled from July 13 – 17.
