Angel Reese is on a hot streak and has broken several WNBA records this year. She now owns the most rebounds in a game, as well as the most double-doubles and rebounds in a season. The Atlanta Dream star also announced some exciting news on Monday.
She and the Dream have won five of their last six games and are tied for fourth in the standings with a 26-14 record. They are battling for a top-three seed with the Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever with four games left. The team will return to action on Sept.17 to face the Connecticut Sun at Gateway Center Arena.
Reese is part of Team USA’s lineup for the FIBA World Cup from Sept. 4 to 13. It will be held in Berlin, with the team composed of some of the WNBA’s biggest stars.
Reese posted two Instagram stories on Monday. She featured photos of two new colorways of her Reebok Angel Reese 1s. The brand has officially released the “Aqua” and “Metal Green” silhouettes.

The brand first launched the AR1 lineup in September 2025 in the “Diamond Dust,” “Mebounds” and “Receipts Ready” colorways. Fans have well received it and its popularity continues to grow.
Reese is averaging 16.1 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists through 39 games. She is a big reason for Atlanta’s success, proving that she has already adjusted to a new system and teammates. The Dream acquired her from the Chicago Sky in April.
The three-time All-Star and her team are one game behind the Aces for third place. All three teams want to be in the best position for the playoffs, leading to a tightly-contested battle. Atlanta reached the postseason last year without Reese but the lower seeded Fever upset them in the first round.
