Angel Reese Shares First-Ever Announcement After Offseason Trade

Angel Reese is having a great year with the Atlanta Dream this season.

The three-time WNBA All-Star is playing her first season in Atlanta after spending her first two years with the Chicago Sky. Reese was traded to the Dream on April 6 in exchange for future draft picks.

Reese is currently averaging 15.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7 steals in 25 games. The Dream sit in sixth place in the WNBA standings with a 16-10 record.

The two-time WNBA rebounding leader has been enjoying her time in Atlanta after two rocky years at Chicago.

On Monday, the 6-foot-4 forward announced that she will be holding a back-to-school event through the Angel C. Reese Foundation. Reese also shared the post on her Instagram Story.

This will be her foundation’s first event in Atlanta. Reese and her foundation will kick off the back-to-school season by giving back to the community and helping children.

The event will support 1,000 students from the first through eighth grades. They will give the students a clear bookbag full of school supplies. On top of that, they will also have food, music, games and giveaways during the event.

Reese has been known to give back, as she started her foundation in 2023, focusing on supporting students.

As for her basketball, Reese is coming off an injury that she suffered during their game against her former team. Atlanta beat the visiting Sky, 93-91, on July 19. Despite that, Reese participated in the recently concluded WNBA All-Star Game.

The Dream will be back in action on Wednesday. They’ll travel to the College Park Center to face the Dallas Wings.
