Angel Reese is one of the brightest superstars in the WNBA right now. The forward is entering her sophomore season and has threatened the WNBA that the players might move forward with the league's first-ever lockout if salaries aren't improved.
It seems the Chicago Sky superstar threw additional shade at the league in her latest post on X after a fan asked for the $50,000 she made at Unrivaled.
"Hey sista. I’m doing well. Just won 50K on a flight. I know you are VERY aware, and i’m sorry to break it to you, but I’m on a rookie contract and that 50k was a little more than half of my contract ,so I have to keep that to myself…. Sorry :( give me a few years and I gotchu. be well"

Reese will make $74,909 in the next WNBA season, getting paid $73,439 for her first year in the league. She's the league's second-biggest draw after Caitilin Clark, with both Reese and Clark bringing a lot of attention to the league as rookies.
Average attendances and fan interest have boomed to new heights, as the world is becoming more invested in women's basketball. The contribution of players like Reese in that interest boost can't be understated or overlooked, which is why Reese has discussed a potential WNBA lockout if the league can't agree to a better CBA for the players.
Reese has previously said that she can't pay her bills through her WNBA salary anyway, relying on the far more lucrative brand endorsments someone with her profile can get. Given WNBA players have been playing in foreign leagues for years as well to supplement their income, this isn't surprising to see.

The Pittsburgh Steelers sought to bolster their secondary during the 2024 NFL season, and an unlikely solution quickly emerged in undrafted free agent Beanie Bishop Jr. In his rookie season, Bishop impressed by intercepting four passes and showing flashes of playmaking ability. However, following the 2024 campaign, it became clear that Pittsburgh wanted more than just Bishop to play a nickel role, and instead, across their secondary. After making several moves to strengthen depth in the secondary, Bishop's role diminished. He was moved to the practice squad, but after the Steelers were reportedly signing wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the practice squad on Monday, Bishop was forced off the roster. It was officially announced on Monday that the Steelers would be releasing Bishop from their practice squad. Bishop’s release underscores the harsh realities of roster management in the NFL. Despite his rookie success, the team clearly prioritized adding depth and flexibility elsewhere, particularly at wide receiver. While Bishop showed potential as a ballhawk, the Steelers’ secondary has now shifted toward veterans and other younger options to solidify the unit. For Bishop, this is likely not the end of his NFL journey, as players with his skill set often find opportunities on other teams or return to practice squads later in the season. Steelers fans will remember his contributions, but the organization appears focused on reshaping the roster for greater overall depth heading into the 2025 season. When the Steelers faced the Aaron Rodgers-led New York Jets during the 2024 NFL season, Bishop rose to the occasion. Targeted by the future Hall of Famer, Bishop answered the call in spectacular fashion, intercepting Rodgers not once, but twice. The performance instantly became a defining moment for the rookie, showcasing his ball-hawking instincts and fearlessness on the field. Ex-Steelers DB steals two footballs from Aaron Rodgers back in 2024 The game did not just make headlines for the on-field heroics. Afterward, Bishop went viral for his heartfelt postgame antics, making it clear that he expected Rodgers to autograph both intercepted footballs he kept. The moment captured the attention of fans and social media alike, cementing Bishop’s reputation as a confident and charismatic young player who was not afraid to make his mark. It is a memory that Bishop and Steelers fans will likely treasure for years to come. Bishop was thrilled to learn that in the 2025 offseason, Rodgers would be joining the Steelers. Rodgers became part of the team for the 2025 season. While it does not appear that the two are currently teammates, the ever-revolving nature of NFL practice squads means this may not be Bishop’s last opportunity in Pittsburgh or in the NFL. His rookie season showed his talent and potential, and there could still be a chance for him to make an impact in the Steel City or elsewhere in the league.
The Dallas Cowboys have been quite busy ahead of Monday night's kickoff. According to reports, the Cowboys made several roster moves prior to tonight's game against the Arizona Cardinals. Dallas is looking to inch closer to .500 going into the bye after starting the year 3-4-1 over its first eight games. The Cowboys are coming off of an ugly 44-24 loss to the Broncos last week that saw Dak Prescott held to just 188 yards and two interceptions as Denver piled on 17 unanswered points in the final quarter. But as ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, some changes have taken place before the 'Boys host the Cards at AT T Stadium in primetime. Cowboys make numerous roster moves prior to 'MNF' Per the top NFL insider, the Cowboys announced several changes to their 53-man roster as they eye a potential fourth win: Placed LB Jack Sanborn on injured reserve. Activated C Cooper Beebe from injured reserve-Designated for Return. Signed RB Malik Davis to the active roster from the practice squad. Elevated DB Zion Childress and TE Princeton Fant from the practice squad. Fans react to changes online "Solid roster management," a user said. "Losing Sanborn hurts the depth chart, but getting Beebe back stabilizes the O-line. Malik Davis adds rotation value, and the elevations show Dallas gearing for versatility across special teams and red-zone looks. Smart, balanced adjustments." "Sooo... they're still garbage?" another asked. "relegation to the Big12 is not off the table," a fan commented. "Tough news on Jack Sanborn, but great to see Cooper Beebe activated and some good depth additions! Hope these moves pay off. Go Cowboys!" another cheered. "Not the alert I wanted when I saw 'Cowboys’ Moves' flash across my screen," another person admitted. The Cowboys and Cardinals kickoff at 8:15 PM ET on ABC and ESPN with Joe Buck and Hall of Fame QB Troy Aikman on the call. Dallas is a 3.5-point favorite according to ESPN BET Sportsbook.
The New Orleans Saints have a handful of players that should be able to bring a pretty penny back through a trade ahead of the Nov. 4th trade deadline if they see fit. The guy that fans should keep a close eye on, specifically on the defensive side of the ball is cornerback Alontae Taylor. He's been in rumors over the last few weeks. He'll be a free agent after the season and Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reported that the Saints are looking for at least a "Day 2" pick. For the Saints, they have a few young corners and there's no guarantee that Taylor will be back next year. Because of that, the Saints should continue to survey the market and see if a cornerback-needy team will be willing to bite. With the trade deadline approaching, there's plenty of speculation out there about potential fits for guys and other things of that nature. One example of this is The Sporting News' Daniel Mader ranked the top eight options for the Dallas Cowboys and Taylor was on his list and the idea makes sense. "Trevon Diggs and Daron Bland have proven to be capable NFL starters in the past, especially when it comes to forcing turnovers. But Diggs was recently placed on IR with a concussion and right knee injury," Mader said. "That could prompt the Cowboys to add a corner, with a few potential names on the market. The New Orleans Saints' Alontae Taylor is one of those names, a 26-year-old former second-round pick who has four passed defended and 44 tackles this season on a struggling team. The Saints should call the Cowboys to see if they can get a deal done "The Saints should be considered sellers, even if they don't part with their most talented veteran players. Taylor would be a nice balance — he could net some decent draft capital, but his absence wouldn't hurt the future of the defense terribly, with Kool-Aid McKinstry and others still in the mix." The Saints' front office should absolutely get the Cowboys on the phone as fast as possible. Dallas' secondary has been brutal this season. The Cowboys have allowed the sixth-most passing yards in the league with 2,185. The Cowboys also have allowed the second-most passing touchdowns in the league with 20. The kicker here is that these metrics are before they even play their Week 9 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football. The Cowboys' secondary has been bad and Dallas needs something as it has a 3-4-1 record on the season after the surprising deal to send Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. The Cowboys have some extra draft capital lying around and a clear need in the secondary. The Saints should be on the phone with Jerry Jones as fast as possible, especially if they win on Monday night. More NFL: Saints Can't Ignore Alontae Taylor Trade Calls
The Green Bay Packers' decision to trade for Micah Parsons was undeniably a good one. They already had an up-and-coming defense and a stacked offense, and adding a superstar pass-rusher who had yet to reach his physical prime was a no-brainer. However, as great a player as Parsons is, he's also drawn some negative attention for running his mouth a little. It took him nine weeks, but he may have finally given the Packers a taste of that. Micah Parsons takes a subtle jab at the Packers Following the shocking 16-13 home loss to the Carolina Panthers, Parsons pointed out that the defense did a good job of limiting Dave Canales' team. "He threw for 100 yards," Parsons said in the locker room, per Packers beat writer Ryan Wood. “If we lose a game like that in the NFL, we just didn’t play good. Not too many quarterbacks are throwing for 100 yards and winning.” The underlying message there is that someone else didn't do a good job, whether it's head coach Matt LaFleur, who called an over-conservative game again, the offense, Jordan Love, or all of the above. Parsons and the Packers defense held the Panthers to 265 total yards. They picked Bryce Young off once and sacked him once for a loss of eight yards, so he does have a valid point. Then again, given his history of stirring the pot during his days with the Dallas Cowboys, it's hard not to be worried about the toll this might take on his relationship with the organization.
