Chicago Sky star Angel Reese has always been open about her desire to be a billionaire, and clearly, she has the right mindset to make it happen.
In February, Reese shared in an Instagram Stories post that her "goal in life" is to become a billionaire and that she's confident that she will be one in the future.
While the Sky forward's reported net worth — which ranges between $1.5 million to $2 million — is still far from her goal, she has certainly taken huge steps to earn more money outside of playing basketball.
Aside from her brand deals and being a co-owner of DC Power FC (a soccer team in the USL Super League), she has also created her own merchandise. Most recently, her "Mebounds" shirt — a response to criticism on her play — was all the rage on social media.
Prior to the Sky's game against the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday, Reese was asked about her "Mebounds" shirt and how she got started as a businesswoman. The 23-year-old then gave a response that is in true Warren Buffett style.
"I try to make as much money when I'm sleeping as [when] I'm awake," Reese told the media. "I think my team does a great job putting me out there, we have a lot of great things coming. To be able to have my own brand, and revenue shares obviously is something that we're negotiating with our CBA, why not be able to do it with my own brand right now and benefit off of it?"
For what it's worth, Buffett once famously said, "If you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die."
The legendary investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway has amassed a fortune of over $140 billion with that mentality, per Forbes.
That being said, it certainly looks like Reese is on the right path with the way she goes about her off-court ventures.
