Chicago Sky Praised For 'Incredible' Angel Reese Giveaway

Many know her as Angel Reese, but you can call her Covergirl.

In the two short years since she's arrived on the WNBA scene, the Bayou Barbie has landed on the cover of everything from Vogue to Sports Illustrated. And most recently, the basketball video game of note NBA 2K.

Earlier this week, Take-Two Interactive revealed its three cover stars for this year's editions NBA 2K26. Headlined by Angel, NBA Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony.

And in celebration of the momentous occasion, the Chicago Sky held a special giveaway prior to tip-off of Saturday's game vs. the Minnesota Lynx — handing out 2K26 cover shirts for fans at Wintrust Arena to enjoy.

Folks were loving it on X.

"Reese getting well deserved superstar treatment," a user said.

"Haters mad lol," another laughed.

Reese has been on a tear of late running up seven straight double-doubles which have resulted in three wins for her squad.

The Sky have mostly struggled through their first 20 games but they're still only 3.5 games out of the three-seed in the Eastern Conference.

They'll look to cut that down to 2.5 with a strong victory over the Napheesa Collier and the Lynx this weekend.
