The Chicago Sky are two games into the 2025 WNBA season, and it hasn’t been the start they were hoping for.
In their opener against the Indiana Fever, the Sky were blown out 93–58 as Caitlin Clark recorded a triple-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. On Thursday night, the Sky took on the New York Liberty and suffered another lopsided loss, 99–74.
Despite the rough start, there have been a few bright spots. Angel Reese recorded a double-double against the Fever, and Ariel Atkins hit her 400th career 3-pointer in the game against the Liberty. She heads into Sunday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks with 401.
On Friday, the Sky shared a post on social media, sending a message to Atkins after reaching the 400 mark.
"Welcome to the 4️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ Club, Double A," the post read.

Atkins is in her first season with the Sky after spending the first seven years of her WNBA career with the Washington Mystics, who selected her seventh overall in the 2018 draft. She’s long been known for her shooting ability from deep, holding a career 3-point percentage of 36.4%.
Through her first two games with Chicago, the 5-foot-10 guard knocked down 4-of-6 from beyond the arc for 66.7% shooting. Atkins is also averaging 9.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
Atkins and the Sky will look to pick up their first win of the season on Sunday. Tip-off at Crypto.com in Los Angeles is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.
