If you watched the Connecticut Sun battle the Minnesota Lynx, then you saw the Sun totally dominate through three quarters. Yet a fourth-quarter defensive clinic and some big points from Napheesa Collier and Natisha Hiedeman helped the Lynx win 76-70.

The game, which was a featured telecast on ION on Friday night, gave Minnesota fans plenty of heartbreak and happiness. It wasn't looking good for the home team, who played before a rowdy crowd at Target Center.

Connecticut led by 15-plus points with less than five minutes remaining in the game. But Minnesota pushed their offense and defense hard, making it the second time in WNBA history that a team has overcome such a deficit. Who did it first? Minnesota's 2004 team.

Napheesa Collier delivers a massive double-double effort for the Minnesota Lynx

Collier, though, put up a double-double with 33 points and 11 rebounds that helped the Lynx stay perfect at 4-0 in the young WNBA season. The win also keeps Minnesota atop the Western Conference standings.

Minnesota went on a 23-2 run against the Sun, putting the hammer down when it counted most.

Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve had to push her players in the fourth quarter. Her pleas for better defense from the Lynx were heard. The Sun totally had Minnesota confused through the game's first three quarters, leading by double digits at different points.

Hiedeman pushed the Lynx ahead with a clutch 3-pointer and bucket. Minnesota outscored Connecticut 27-14 in the fourth quarter. Their frantic defensive stops and offensive push proved to be a double-blow against the Sun, now 0-3 for the season.

At one point, Connecticut had a 15-point lead. Marina Mabrey led the Sun with 22 points and Haley Peters added 12.
