Dallas Wings Sell Out 2026 Season Tickets After Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd Reunion

While the Indiana Fever struggle to sell tickets, the Dallas Wings have sold out their 2026 season ticket memberships for the third straight year, including all premium, courtside, and suite seating, the team announced Tuesday.

The Dallas Wings will open their 2026 season on the road against the Indiana Fever on Saturday, May 9, and their tickets were sold out two weeks in advance. The team also said details for a 2027 season ticket waitlist will be announced later.

A big reason for this demand is the excitement around Paige Bueckers, the reigning Rookie of the Year, reuniting with her former UConn teammate and 2026 No. 1 pick Azzi Fudd on the court.

Paige Bueckers was the main draw for fans at the Dallas Wings after being drafted No. 1 overall. However, the team struggled on the court, finishing last in the WNBA with a 10–34 record, which helped them secure another No. 1 pick.

The struggles were an extension of 2024, when the Wings went 9–31, giving them a combined 19–65 record over two seasons. Despite that, fans have continued to show strong support, with the team selling out season tickets again.

Regardless, this season, Dallas became the second WNBA team to sell out season tickets, following the Las Vegas Aces in March. The Aces were also the first team in league history to do so back in 2024.

While Dallas continues to thrive at the box office, the situation in Indiana tells a very different story.

Why Indiana Fever Ticket Sales Are Raising Questions

Unlike the Dallas Wings, the Indiana Fever are still trying to sell tickets, and the situation has led Jason Whitlock to question Caitlin Clark’s impact.

He said, “The Indiana Fever, they’re struggling to sell tickets for Caitlin Clark. That’s not a good omen. That’s a sign that the WNBA is about to potentially crash and burn; that they’ve probably already burned up the goodwill that Caitlin Clark earned them.”

This is the first time in three years that the Indiana Fever are struggling to sell tickets, likely due to high prices. They sold out their first home games in the past two years at lower prices, which hasn’t happened this season.

Per Brobible, the cheapest seat at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the May 9 opener is $97.11, compared to just $21 for the same seat for the game against Portland on May 20. A seat 10 rows from the court for the Wings matchup is $876.95 compared to $228 for the Fire matchup, about a 300% difference.

For comparison, around $875 can get you a seat just nine rows from the court for an NBA playoff game between the Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs, meaning you can get better seats there for the same price.

So, why do you think the Dallas Wings are selling out while the Indiana Fever are struggling despite similar star power?
