‘Everybody can complain’: Caitlin Clark addresses Fever’s tough situation

Caitlin Clark comments on Indiana Fever’s busy schedule

Clark and Co. barely have any time to rest after the All-Star festivities. They are now back with the team and are on the road for Tuesday’s matchup against the Seattle Storm. However, Clark understands that it’s all part of the game.

“It’s a tough turnaround, and the Fever probably have one of the quickest turnarounds,” Clark said after Saturday’s All-Star Game. “We played on Wednesday, and I’m going home tonight, and I’m flying to Seattle tomorrow.

“Everybody can complain about their schedule, but at the same time, it’s always an honor to put this jersey on and play and compete and be around the best players in the world. I don’t take that lightly.

“It’s just really fun for me, and I want to set a great example of what the game is for the fans and the young people who come and watch. I think that’s really important, and I take that seriously. Hopefully we do that in a decent manner. I think we can continue to improve as we move forward.”

Clark turned in a strong performance in Saturday’s exhibition matchup. She finished with 17 points, four rebounds, five assists and five triples in 21 minutes of action. The 24-year-old will be looking to keep that momentum going as the Fever head into the second half of the season.
