After missing Saturday's overtime win over the Washington Mystics with a leg injury, Caitlin Clark made her 2025 WNBA preseason debut in front of her former Iowa Hawkeyes crowd.

On Sunday, Clark and the Indiana Fever defeated the Brazilian National Team, 108-44, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The former Iowa star finished with 16 points, six rebounds and five assists, picking up where she left off in 2024.

But now that the Fever have completed two preseason games, they have had to make their first round of tough decisions, and that includes releasing two players.

On Monday afternoon, Indiana announced that it has released forward Jillian Alleyne and guard Bree Hall.

"The Indiana Fever have waived forward Jillian Alleyne and guard Bree Hall, the team announced today," the Fever wrote.

Alleyne was the No. 20 pick in the 2016 WNBA draft, selected by the Phoenix Mercury. She couldn't find a spot in the WNBA until 2019, when she played five games with the Minnesota Lynx. She also played two games with the Mystics in 2021, but hasn't found a team since.

The former Oregon Ducks forward finished her lone preseason game with the Fever on Sunday, tallying three points, seven rebounds and two assists in 10 minutes of action.

Hall, on the other hand, may have been the more surprising cut. The former South Carolina Gamecocks standout was Indiana's No. 20 pick in this year's draft, but also only appeared against Brazil. She tallied nine points on 4-of-9 shooting and four rebounds.

The Fever have now cut down their roster to 13 players, needing to release one more to reach the maximum of 12 before the regular season begins.

Indiana will play in their final preseason game on Saturday, facing Brittney Griner and the Atlanta Dream. The regular season will begin on May 17, when the Fever host the Chicago Sky.
