The Indiana Fever are going all-in to win their second WNBA championship in franchise history. They shared an exciting update on Friday about their $78 million move.
Indiana’s season ended in disappointment as it was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. The team qualified for the postseason as the No. 6 seed after finishing the regular-season with a 28-16 record. The Fever faced the Las Vegas Aces and forced a winner-take-all Game 3 on Oct. 1. However, they lost 94-83 and entered the offseason earlier than they wanted to.
The team is looking forward to the coming years and continue competing hard for a title. Indiana could have a new-look lineup starting in 2027 depending of its offseason moves.
The Fever posted photos from the construction of their performance center on Instagram. It showed the side of the building already with the team’s logo.
“a new addition to our 108,000 sq. ft. world-class sports performance center
,” the Fever wrote.

Indiana announced the project last year and unveiled the first renderings in April. The venue will have two practice courts, a comprehensive recovery suit and a next-generation player locker room, among others. It will also have more meeting rooms for coaches and integrated spaces with the front office.
The Fever will have big decisions to make this offseason. Kelsey Mitchell, Sophie Cunningham and other key players will enter unrestricted free agency, and they have to address their futures with the franchise. Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston remain under contract and will continue to spearhead the charge. The superstar guard vowed to involve herself with roster construction and said she will be in constant communication with general manager Amber Cox. She also stressed that she will put in a lot of work in the gym to further improve her game and address facets of it that she believes need to be addressed.
