Final Injury Report for Lynx-Mercury: Will Napheesa Collier, Sami Whitcomb Play?

The Minnesota Lynx are on the road Monday night as they travel to take on the Phoenix Mercury in a Western Conference matchup as part of the WNBA’s Commissioner’s Cup.

Minnesota enters Monday’s game with a 6-2 record after defeating the Chicago Sky in dominant fashion Friday night.

In Friday’s victory over the Sky, Olivia Miles led the way for the Lynx as she recorded 17 points, six rebounds and six assists while Nia Coffey added 20 points and eight rebounds of her own.

The Lynx will try to extend their winning streak to five games Monday as they take on a struggling Mercury team on the road.

Phoenix enters Monday’s contest with a 2-7 record after losing on the road to the New York Liberty Friday night.

Alyssa Thomas led the way for the Mercury in Friday’s loss as she ended the game with 15 points, three rebounds, eight assists and three steals while Kahleah Copper recorded 16 points and three rebounds.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Monday night’s matchup, both may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Lynx Injury Report: Will Napheesa Collier, Dorka Juhasz Play?

The Lynx have three players listed on their injury report, including Napheesa Collier and Dorka Juhasz.

Minnesota has ruled out Collier as she remains sidelined to begin the season while recovering from a left ankle injury.

The Lynx have also ruled out Juhasz due to a right mid-foot sprain that is expected to sideline her for at least one more week.

Emma Cechova has also been ruled out as she will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.

Mercury Injury Report: Will Sami Whitcomb Play?

The Mercury have only one player listed on their injury report as they have ruled out guard Sami Whitcomb.

Phoenix has ruled out Whitcomb as she remains sidelined to begin the season while recovering from left knee surgery that is expected to keep her out for at least a few more weeks.

Fans can catch Monday night’s WNBA Commissioner’s Cup matchup between the Lynx and Mercury from Phoenix at 10:00 p.m. ET on Peacock.
