Indiana Fever Coach Announces Reason for Lexie Hull Missing Practice

Injuries have been a theme for the Indiana Fever the entire 2025 WNBA season, and the playoffs have been no exception.

After losing Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham and three others to season-ending injuries at the end of the regular season, forward Damiris Dantas joined the injury list with a concussion during their first-round series against the Atlanta Dream.

Starting guard Lexie Hull (back) missed practice on Thursday ahead of Game 3 of the WNBA semifinals between the Fever and Las Vegas Aces at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday. The best-of-five series is tied 1-1.

Hull has played in every game for the injury-ravaged Fever this year, including the playoffs. During the regular season, she averaged career highs in minutes (27), points (7.2), rebounds (4.3), assists (1.8) and steals (1.2).

Head coach Stephanie White announced after Thursday's practice that Hull's absence was precautionary. She is expected to be available for Game 3, barring any setbacks.

"She's doing better," White told reporters. "Today was just a precaution. We didn't want her to take any hits or move any kind of way that might aggravate it. Travel makes it difficult."

Hull unexpectedly popped up on the injury report as questionable before Game 2 because of a back problem, but she played through the pain. She scored 15 points on five 3-pointers in the 90-68 loss.

"I'm feeling sore still," Hull said after Game 2. "Just a lot of treatment, trying to get our bodies as ready as they can be. Part of the playoffs for everyone."

Game 3 tips off in Indianapolis at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be aired nationally on ESPN2.
