Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever power forward, will not be seen on the court until the next WNBA season as a result of her injury. Clark has definitely not had the sophomore season she expected with the Fever as a result of injuries. The situation has not only been tough on the player herself, but also the entire team who were banking on Clark to take them to the championships this time out.

Clark has been ruled out of the season as a result of a groin injury. The 23-year-old legend’s absence in the Fever roster has led to the team limping to the playoffs, leaving numerous fans disappointed in the stands. However, former WNBA player, Candace Parker, seems to be pretty happy that Clark is putting her health and recovery first by making the difficult decision to not play in the playoffs.

“Big picture from the outside looking in…I have been a player that has had a number of injuries. And I think, later in my career especially, some of those injuries would have been less or preventable had I listened to my body earlier. But when you’re Caitlin Clark and you have the ball in your hands, and you’re on the other team’s scouting report…to come in half and not being able to be in that amount of…I would say shape, rhythm of the game…’cause the rhythm of the game changes towards the end of the year. And so when it started getting close to the end of the regular season, I was like, it’s dangerous to come back during playoff basketball,” Candace Parker spoke about Caitlin Clark’s injuries in the ‘Post Moves’ podcast with Aliyah Boston.

Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever will be going ahead into the postseason without their star. The team finished their regular season third in the Eastern Conference and sixth overall. The Fever have managed 24 wins in the season with 20 defeats with Clark missing the majority of the games.

Caitlin Clark’s Generation Praised By Candace Parker For Taking Care Of Injuries

In the same podcast episode, Caitlin Clark and her generation of players were praised by Candace Parker. Parker admitted that she herself has tried to power through many injuries, which have led to worse situations. But the way this current generation perceives injuries is totally different.

Despite being injured, Caitlin Clark has not failed to show up for her teammates, even from the sidelines. The WNBA legend can be seen pumping up her teammates when they are down and even giving instructions to players.
