After a second-straight win over the Liberty on Saturday, the Lynx are now 28-5 with 11 games left on their regular-season schedule. They have a seven-game lead over the second-place Atlanta Dream for the top overall seed in the postseason.

Minnesota remains without star forward Napheesa Collier, who is recovering from an ankle injury she suffered on August 2. All-stars Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams continue to step up in her absence with 43 combined points on Saturday.

After falling in last year's WNBA Finals, the Lynx have made a statement with a 3-0 record over New York in 2025. Saturday's win bumped the Liberty down to third place, and Minnesota has a commanding seven-game lead at the top of the league's standings.

Minnesota will have two days off before traveling to New York to face the Liberty for the third straight time on Tuesday. With a game at Atlanta on Thursday, a 2-0 mid-week sweep would put the Lynx one step closer to clinching the No. 1 overall seed with less than a month left in the regular season.
