Minnesota Lynx sharpshooter Kayla McBride has been named to the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game as an injury replacement for Atlanta's Rhyne Howard, the league announced on Tuesday.
McBride will join Lynx teammates Napheesa Collier and Courtney Williams on Team Collier, which will face off against Caitlin Clark's team on Saturday in Indianapolis.

It's the second consecutive All-Star nod for McBride and the fifth of her 12-year career. Through 19 games this season, she's averaged 14.1 points, 3.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game on 41/38/94 shooting splits. She's scored in double figures in 14 of 19 games this season, highlighted by a 29-point outburst against the Sparks on June 21. McBride's 2.6 made three-pointers per game are second in the league behind only Howard, the player she's replacing on Team Collier.
McBride, 33, was the third overall pick out of Notre Dame in 2014. She spent her first seven WNBA seasons with the San Antonio Stars/Las Vegas Aces franchise, then signed with the Lynx in 2021. She's proven to be a perfect complement to Collier as one of Minnesota's primary scoring options.
McBride's 669 three-pointers are seventh-most in league history and the most among all active players. 346 of those have come in a Lynx uniform, placing her behind only Maya Moore and Katie Smith in franchise history.

The 19-4 Lynx have one game left before the All-Star break. They're taking on the 15-6 Phoenix Mercury, who beat them last week in Arizona, in a marquee matchup on Wednesday. It's a 12 p.m. CT start time, designed to get plenty of children's groups in the house at Target Center.
