Fans always see Caitlin Clark as laser-focused on the court, but according to Indiana Fever teammate Aliyah Boston, she has another side that’s just as memorable. On the “Post Moves with Candace Parker & Aliyah Boston” podcast, Boston gave a playful reveal about Clark’s personality.
“She’s a troll… Like, look at her, she can’t help it… she is actually the biggest troll. I think it’s funny,” Boston said with a laugh.
The two stars have quickly become one of the WNBA’s most talked-about duos, and it’s not just because of their talent. Boston also described how their pregame ritual of exchanging encouragements began.
“I mean, it really just started one game where we gave each other a hug, and she was like, ‘You’re going to be amazing because you are amazing.’ I said it back, and we’ve just done it every game,” Boston explained.
For her part, Caitlin Clark has always made sure to celebrate her teammates’ success, especially after Boston’s standout moments. “So proud of you,” Clark shared recently, a reminder of the bond the two share.
This inside look gives fans a refreshing perspective. It shows that beyond the headlines, Clark isn’t just the competitive face of the Fever, but also someone who keeps the mood light and supports those around her. It’s a side of Clark that many fans say makes them root for her even harder.
While her off-court personality keeps fans entertained, many are just as focused on Caitlin Clark’s recovery. Fever coach Stephanie White recently spoke about the rookie guard’s progress and the team’s mindset.
“That’s the hope. She’s working as hard as she can to make sure that she is coming back or is capable of coming back. I think that the long-term viewpoint of her health and wellness is the most important thing,” White said.
It’s truly difficult for an athlete to keep themselves, not just in their top physical form, but in their skills and actual playing form without any competitive games. Caitlin Clark is forced to put in more work just to keep herself involved, even as she’s still taken to the side. She still shows up during team training and pops up on the bench during games.
Fans have been trying to be patient as well, with plenty more keen on just seeing Caitlin Clark fully recover than to rush these last few games of the season. They’re content with CC’s current contributions to the morale and support of the team. And Caitlin knows the value.
Baby steps. Take baby steps on the way to full recovery. The Fever is feeling the absence of several key players, but they are in a real bind without Caitlin Clark. But as long as she can stand, CC will be on the sides or in the bleachers putting out her energy any way, shape, or form for the Fever.
