WNBA Star Natasha Cloud Identifies 'Problem' With League Today

WNBA star Natasha Cloud, who got into a public altercation with former NBA forward Enes Kanter at a Sky vs. Fever game last month, believes that “men” are the problem with the league today.

Cloud, who is calling for a WNBA ban on Kanter, doesn’t want to see him in another league arena.

“We’re asking for protection, and that’s what protection looks like from a man,” Cloud said to reporters before Sunday’s game against New York, via The Athletic. “We can’t not allow him in the arena before the game, but after the game, we can bring solutions to the table that best benefit putting our players first and protecting our players.”

Kanter has reportedly been banned from Chicago Sky home games.

“I hope the WNBA follows their lead,” Cloud said.

Cloud, meanwhile, doesn’t want to discuss Kanter by name.

“I won’t be talking about anything that happened with an irrelevant person,” Cloud added, via The Athletic. “What I will focus on is what actually affects women and children.”

Cloud believes ‘men’ are the problem

Cloud believes that most of the WNBA’s problems right now can be traced to men.

“Men,” Cloud said when asked to pinpoint who to blame for the WNBA’s problems.

“The men now that are like ‘Oh, we need to protect the WNBA,’ y’all were the same ones saying we shouldn’t be paid,” Cloud added.

“Y’all were the same ones saying we shouldn’t have been invested in, saying we’re a joke, the same ones that don’t respect Black women. So, if you’re going to protect women, that means all women. That includes Black women, trans women and the list goes on.”
