Per the outlet, Jayne, who is also a former TNA Knockouts World Champion, suffered a possible quadriceps injury. The WWE referee had thrown up the X sign that indicated a legitimate injury, and medical personnel had to help her to the back. The match saw her teaming with Fallon Henley to go against Sol Ruca and Zaria.
Just two days before the injury, Jayne, Jaida Parker, Lola Vice, and Sol Ruca were part of Team NXT and defeated Team TNA’s Cassie Lee, Jessie McKay, Kelani Jordan, and Mara Sade. It was part of the NXT and the TNA Showdown special.
WWE or Jayne has yet to comment on the injury. It’s unknown how long she will be out of action. If it’s too bad, she will have to vacate the WWE NXT Women’s Title. Last year in April, Jayne had an in-ring injury to her nose.
At the moment, she’s the leader of Fatal Influence, though they are short one member. Jazmyn Nyx left WWE due to contract issues. Anyway, Jayne signed with WWE on February 24, 2021. She’s the only member left of the stable she was in early in her career, Fatal Attraction. Her stablemates were former WWE Superstars Mandy Rose and Gigi Dolin. After Fatal Attraction, she was a member of Chase U for a little bit, and she was a face. It wouldn’t last long, and that’s when she made the Fatal Influence stable.
Along with her other accolades, she’s a former two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion. As mentioned, she’s currently the NXT Women’s Champion and has held the title since defeating Stephanie Vaquer on the May 27, 2025, episode of NXT.
Her TNA Knockouts Title reign lasted from July 20, 2025, when she defeated Masha Slamovich at Slammiversary, to August 24 at the NXT Heatwave PLE, where she lost it to Ash By Elegance. Elegance would have to vacate the title, and now another NXT star is holding the title – Kelani Jordan.
So hopefully, Jayne’s injury isn’t as serious, and she won’t have to deal with vacating the title. Sadly, this injury news isn’t the first this week either. AEW dealt with an injury in the ring with Kota Ibushi this past Wednesday.
