Ric Flair is widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers in history. The 16-time World Champion not only redefined what it meant to be an in-ring technician but also mastered the art of trash talk. Now, the 2-time WWE Hall of Famer sees much of his legacy carried forward by his daughter, Charlotte Flair . Just like her father, ‘The Queen’ has become the most dominant women’s wrestler of the modern era.

With 14 World Championships and countless groundbreaking performances, Charlotte has faced some of WWE’s biggest names, including Sasha Banks , Rhea Ripley , Asuka, Becky Lynch , and Trish Stratus . Her impact on the industry hasn’t gone unnoticed, especially by her father. In a recent interview with Liam Solomon of The Escapist, Ric Flair boldly declared her the best wrestler alive.

She only became a wrestler by accident. But not only is she the best female wrestler, she’s the best wrestler in the world and the most athletic person in the company. She is the best wrestler, male or female, and I can say that without flinching, without looking back.

Flair went on to say that the only person who comes close to Charlotte is his former Evolution stablemate, Randy Orton .

The only person who I think is close to her, when he is on and healthy, when you think about in-ring timing and knowing where you are all the time, is Randy Orton.

Despite his praise for Orton, Flair admitted he doesn’t understand why WWE isn’t utilizing ‘The Viper’ at a higher level.

Randy’s really underutilised these days. I don’t know why. I think maybe he made somebody mad along the way. Randy’s not afraid to say what he thinks, and that’s not always popular.

Flair and Orton’s bond goes back to their days together in Evolution, and Flair has often described Orton as one of the greatest of his generation. In recent months, Orton has been involved in a heated rivalry with Drew McIntyre, teamed up with country music star Jelly Roll at SummerSlam, and even worked a WWE Title program with John Cena following WrestleMania.

Although Orton hasn’t held a world championship since 2020, he remains a central figure on SmackDown. Meanwhile, Charlotte continues to add to her own Hall of Fame resume as one-half of the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Alexa Bliss.

Ric Flair reveals a shocking detail about his in-ring chemistry with Randy Savage

Ric Flair also reflected on one of his most famous rivals in WWE in the form of Randy Savage. The two clashed in a memorable World Championship match at WrestleMania 8 after Flair joined the company in 1992. But surprisingly, Flair admitted that his chemistry with ‘The Macho Man’ wasn’t what fans might expect. When asked if he had better chemistry with Savage than with Hulk Hogan , Flair was brutally honest.

No, we had terrible chemistry. He wanted to rehearse, and I didn’t rehearse. I only did it for WrestleMania. Instead of having a week off, I had to come to Tampa and wrestle for three hours a day with him to memorize a match. And that just wasn’t my style. You have to feel the crowd.

Although their WrestleMania 8 showdown remains iconic, Flair’s comments reveal that behind the scenes, he and Savage had very different philosophies on how to build a match. However, the Hall of Famers still remain one of the most iconic wrestlers in the history of the business.

Adding to their legendary resume, the duo’s iconic title match was also named as the 33rd best WrestleMania match of all time by WWE on their YouTube channel.
