Image: AEW After being on the sidelines for nearly four months, former AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya is ready to return to action. The 32-year-old had a brief talk with TMZ that was posted Friday where she was asked about her status, saying she wants to find the best time to reintroduce herself. She hopes that when she does, it will be against reigning TBS Champion Mercedes Mone — a match that she said is “important.” Mone was in the ring with Saraya in WWE when she suffered a neck injury in December 2017 that put her into an early retirement for five years before she eventually returned in an AEW ring in November 2022. She last appeared in a four-way number one contender’s match on the October 8th Dynamite and said in late-November that she was taking time off to work on TV projects.
