WWE legend Mick Foley, known as the loveable hardcore wrestling icon, has been hospitalized with a minor concussion following a car accident on April 1, 2025. No, this is not a bad April Fools joke. The former WWE Champion shared the news via social media, expressing his surprise that he was able to walk away from the incident with not much physical damage being suffered. The closest thing to a joke with his incident was the fact that fans were able to plead with Foley not to literally perform aspects of his old theme song in WWE.
TOUGH DAY FOR MICK! I have no idea how I am still walking around after this accident. I’m in the hospital now, and I’m sore from my knees to my neck, including a minor concussion.Posted by Mick Foley on Tuesday, April 1, 2025
Foley admitted that despite experiencing soreness from his knees to his neck, including a minor concussion, he escaped the accident relatively unscathed. An image from the crash site reveals a heavily damaged vehicle, showing just how much force he must have had upon the car when he got in the accident. He wrote:

Foley, a three-time WWE Champion and Hall of Famer, built his legacy on enduring extreme physical punishment, with unforgettable moments such as his 1998 Hell in a Cell match against The Undertaker. Even he is aware that you've got to get lucky when in a serious car accident, which he was.
Foley has taken some of the most dangerous falls in wrestling history—being thrown off the top of the cage and later chokeslammed through it. But his body has paid a hefty price and he's spent years in physical pain from the abuse he suffered during his in-ring career. His ability to withstand punishment earned him a reputation as one of the toughest competitors in the industry but he's been quite public about his battles to maintain a pain-free lifestyle.
Foley has remained a beloved figure in the wrestling world, so fans were elated to hear that he walked away from a car wreck that looked like it could have been disastrous. While this incident is unrelated to wrestling, his ability to walk away once again highlights his toughness.
We're grateful to learn that Mick Foley suffered only minor injuries. We extend our best wishes to him and hope to see him back on his feet soon.
