The wrestling community has lost one of the most significant and long-standing characters within the sport, The Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan at age 74. The wrestling world has lost David ‘Tank’ Sullivan, believed by many to be one of the pioneers of modern wrestling known for his villainous persona in the ring and the passion he displayed inside.
The fallout continues with Kevin Sullivan, the Vice President of Post-Production, being let go by AEW on Monday. It was a decision made by Mike Mansury, the Senior Vice President and Co-Executive Producer.
The momentum that AEW once had is no longer there following its launch in 2019, as the promotion started at a critical time in wrestling history. The WWE product had become stale, with all notable business metrics - ratings, merchandise & ticket sales, and social media engagement - being on the decline.
