What's up Yard, checking in from Cincy and wanted to give you a little update from OTAs.
Practice has been good. There is a lot more that goes into this to become completely confident. I need to continue to take reps. I like to know what everyone else is supposed to be doing around me, but right now I'm still learning my assignments. You can't really take chances until you know what everyone else is doing, what the safeties are doing, what the linemen are doing. Once I get a feel for that then I can hone in on what the offense is trying to do to us each play. I do feel I am learning the defense pretty well, but I have my moments when I get frustrated with myself. I'll get it down though.
Darryl Blackstock has really been great, teaching me how to be a pro. Everybody has been really helpful and have made it a lot of fun. But when I have to start opening the pocket book and buying everything like rookies have to do then I don't think it will be quite as fun anymore.
