TEAMS: Buffalo Bills
PLAYERS: Leodis McKelvin
Leodis
Leodis McKelvin has had a rough couple of days. First he played a key role in the Bills’ 25-24 loss to the Patriots after fumbling a kickoff that led to the eventual game-winning touchdown, and then he came home to see that his lawn had been vandalized. From WKBW: Eyewitness News cameras caught up with McKelvin’s neighbor, who [...]

this is rediculous. he was just trying to get to the two minute warning, which would have essentially taken away a timeout from NE. he's been great since he's been in the league and he makes one mistake and fans go off like this. this was WEEK 1 u dumb@sses!

      lewii5,

What they did to his yard was wrong, but what he did on the field was wrong as well.

      A) He caught it in the end zone.
      B) He hesitated.
      C) He should have taken a knee in the end zone and had it taken out to the twenty.
      D) When you are getting tackled in that situation, you go down.
      E) The reason why you go down is because the Patriots spent endless hours over the summer to prepare for that exact situation. Stand him up and strip the ball.
      F) The end justifies the means. "He was just trying..." doesn't cut it in the NFL.

i'm fully on board with the fact that he made a mistake. hindsight allows you to make the points that you did. my point was that a) i see what he was trying to do. his head was in the right place he just didn't execute. and b) IT'S WEEK ONE... i could understand it more if he cost them a playoff spot or lost a playoff game for them, but the end result is 0-1. they must have no faith in their team's resiliency whatsoever if they react like this after 60 minutes of football.
it's also possible that his coach told him to do what he did (not fumble, but try to extend the play) and he was just following orders.

The Armpit of America = Toledo

I had the displeasure of spending 8 months of my life there....ugh

Their coach is a former OSU coach who coached under Tress. Toledo's coach's dad used to coach under Tress's dad. Tress and Toledo's coach went to the same highschool. Toledo's offense is insane.

Yep Toledo should be fun......if we don't put up 70 our "fans" will want Tress fired....
  • this is a disgrace but one thing i do know is if anybody in buffalo knew who did this they would immediately make the culprit pay for tarnishing us bills fans

Hey! Don't they know how hard it is to keep a nice lawn in Buffalo? And you can only enjoy it for so long before it's frozen solid. But really, this is insane. The guy made a mistake, a costly one sure but a mistake. One I doubt he will ever make again. There are at least 15 more games to go. Mellow out folks.
  • People, this just a game---this could of happen to anyone---on kick off, they train to go for ball late,he did not hold on--this happens to great players as well---for people to go to someone house and spray paint----on lawn--he has a family,BUFFALO BILLS FANS--stop being a lame duck town---he already feels bad for letting team down---you have 15 games left-----COME ON MAN!!!!
  • It is really stupid that someone would go that low! I am a die hard bills fan. He should not have left the endzone, but it is not his fault they lost that game. The defense gave up two touchdows late, the team was causing penalties, and the o line woulld protect late. It is just a game, no reason to make it personal!!! GO LEODIS!
