Optimism in short supply for the Raider Nation
The Raider Nation once considered a Super Bowl bid its birthright. Five dismal years with four coaches and a total of 19 wins have dampened the optimism of even the most hard core citizens of the Nation. 2008 is a new year, with the JaMarcus Russell era slated to start on opening day, along with the supporting cast of Darren McFadden, Javon Walker, and DeAngelo Hall having just joined in. These additions make the Oakland Raiders look a lot better on paper, but it seems like the Raider Nation is almost resigned to hoping that the team will not notch double digit losses, yet again.
