if we were to go for a WR, the better option would be Roy Williams, who is in the last year of his contract and is about to be trumped by up and coming star Calvin Johnson. He is 26, Chad Johnson is 30--although Ocho is an automatic boost, Williams is great and getting better, and going to want less money. He also has a clean slate as far as team troubles. Sadly Ocho cant say the same. But if something happens, i'll be happy. if something doesnt happen, i'll be happy. any solution is a good solution as long as we dont trade Lito for nothing.
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!
I think if we make any move at all it will be for ROy as Phillyphan54 mentioned. I'm str8 wit our team as is, but I would openly welcome any move AR may make come june 1.
You know, there really hasn't been much bally-hoo in recent years. I don't expect this season to be any different. There are only two major moves that wouldn't surprise me. Chad Johnson could be traded, but it won't be to an NFC East team (I would be surprised if he was traded to a team from the NFC east), and Roy Williams (safety from the Cowboys, not the receiver) being moved. Teams just don't act like they used to. Most of that work gets done before the draft ends nowadays, don't ya think?
Teams just value the draft picks so much nowadays that all the deals get done earlier. I'd love to see it happen but the contenders are pretty well set and the malcontents are pretty much stuck but if I knew as much as I thought I did, I'd be a far richer man.
If something does happen on june first my prediction is this. They will make a huge offer for Chad Johnson. Then they will call up Arizona and Detriot to stir up the pot. The Eagles will put a huge offer on the table and let THREE teams fight over it. hopefully someone will bite and the eagles will get their prized #1 receiver. C.Johnson is the 1st choice followed by A.Boldin and R.Williams.
Moats and considine? They turned down two first round picks from Washington for Williams already. It is gonna take a heck of a lot more than that. Generally speaking if you are willing to give players up that easily, the other team doesn't want them.
moats never really got his chance...he could be a good KR for a team or running back liek an ahmad bradshaw of NYG to give the bigger back a rest u never know what other teams see.....
ANQUAN ! ! ! ! MOATS gets traded or cut by the end of trainging camp. 6th round pick maybe ...at best for him. But then again they got a 2nd for A.J.a couple of years ago. They should have been charged with theft. Or if lito is involved.... maybe they could work a maots/considine trade and get them a nickle corner. But hanson is better than some are giving hi credit for! ! ! too bad ....we'll find out when he leaves like hood did! ! ! !
This is where the Eagles all of a sudden sign Chad Johnson, Anquan Boldin, Roy Williams, Keyshawn Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Chris Henry and bring Harold Carmichael out of retirement. Now, in order to do that, they have to give up McNabb, Westbrook and Dawkins. It's worth it though, right?
Well, if they cause trouble here, then you can say, "I told you so". Until then, not much to talk about but speculation, is there? I do appreciate your concern though. Have a good day.
nothing is going to happen, but if something magically does, it will be for chad (id rather have boldin or roy) for the simple reason of the salary cap issue, the other receivers would have been traded by now. Also boldin is near signing a new contract so he probably wont be traded... chances arent looking good for a trade but you never know.
I don't think I will be staying up until 12:00 a.m. on June 1st to see what happens. Hell, I'll probably be sipping on my second six-pack about then saying to myself, "I just don't give a flying f**k anymore. What happens, happens!
