Four runners in the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon exemplified what it means to be “Boston Strong.” In a special scene captured by the Washington Post’s Wesley Lowery, one runner collapsed just shy of  the finish line. But instead of moving right past the man, four other runners stopped, picked him up and carried him across the finish line so they all finished the grueling race together. Check out the amazing sequence in the photos below. Runner gave out near 26 mile mark, right by the site where 1st bomb went off. 1 guy stopped to help, then another http://t.co/gcwMxpssdK— Wesley Lowery (@WesleyLowery) April 21, 2014 But his legs just couldn't do it. The group struggled a few feet. Another man stopped to help, and a woman http://t.co/nM8FGP9Vgx— Wesley Lowery (@WesleyLowery) April 21, 2014 The crowd exploded into loudest cheer I've heard today. Walking, then jogging, they all, all 5, finished the race http://t.co/HE4QJnh35L— Wesley Lowery (@WesleyLowery) April 21, 2014Filed under: Anna Fogel, Boston Marathon, Top Stories
