SILVERMAN: On Sports:
Ryan Miller (@CoachRyanMiller) not only has movers on speed dial but he has his brother Mike Miller, the Heat star on it as well. Ryan is the Associate Head Basketball Coach at Auburn. Miller’s road to Junior’s Farm has been a long and winding one, but he is ready to return War Eagle basketball to prominence in the SEC.
I always enjoy having Cyd Zeigler (@CydZeigler) of OutSports.com on the show. Tonight was a candid conversation after four huge gay rights and gay marriage victories from election night 2012. We had a great conversation about sports and gay athletes and I even asked a few questions Cyd had never been asked before. Kudos to me!
We finished the show with a true hero on a few different fronts! Adrian Chism is the football coach at tiny Southwest Christian Academy in Atlanta. His school only had 13 players this year and despite losing all their games on the field, they were winners through and through. Chism is a retired Marine and it was a pleasure to speak with him on Veteran’s Day. If you would like to contribute to their fundraising effort, 13 for 13, please call: (404) 346-2080 and ask for the coach!

Dwyane Wade has taken many bold fashion steps over the past few years ever since hiring a consultant to dress him. He’s worn the pointless nerd glasses, color-coordinated his finger wraps with his ties, and he even painted his toe nails. Maybe his most notable look was the hot pink pants he wore during the playoffs. Coming in a close second are the super-skinny pants he wore on...
PUTS THE 'ACK' IN 'SLACKS'
Dwyane Wade will probably be the subject of quite a few of my “Fashion Glances.” One, because he clearly loves fashion and two because people usually have a strong reaction to his choices. Case in point, LeBron James posted this photo of DWade to Instagram last night following Heat vs. Rockets- the Rockets had this [...]
The Miami Heat has certainly had their hands full over the past couple of games they played. The Heat had to rally in the 4th quarter to beat the Houston Rockets by the score of 113-110. It was a contest the Heat knows they were involved in. The Rockets gave the Heat almost more than they could handle. It was the work of LeBron James and Chris Bosh to get the Heat this win. What...
LeBron James, please participate in this year’s NBA slam dunk contest — sincerely, every NBA fan.
James threw down a monster alley-oop in Memphis off a dish from point guard Mario Chalmers. James may be competing with Gerald Green for best hops in the NBA.
James finished the game with a double-double, scoring twenty points with 10 rebounds and six assists. The Heat lost 104-86...
No matter how you feel about LeBron, one thing can’t be denied, the man has crazy hops. Last night against the Memphis Grizzlies he started the fast break and received a pass from Mario Chalmers that saw LeBron go up, step on Tony Allen’s shoulders and even blow a kiss [...]
Miami Heat (5-1) vs. Memphis Grizzlies (4-1)
When the Miami Heat first came together, one of the memorable moments of their failure -- or at least not the immediate success they seemed to claim was possible -- was Rudy Gay sinking the Heat with a baseline jumper at Memphis. Two years later, things are very different for Miami. The Heat are a championship team and seemed...
Tuesday night in West Hollywood, GQ Magazine held it’s “Man of the Year” party at the Chateau Marmont. Cover girl Rihanna was on hand, – that cover is EVERYTHING- Cassie and her Boo, Diddy, True Blood’s Stephen Moyer, Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh, Shane Battier and Ray Allen, Rashida Jones plus a whole lot more. Check [...]
