The NASCAR season is back upon us and it is time to get you caught up with everything that happened in the offseason. Start ‘N’ Park Blog will be going through their list of drivers running the full schedule in 2013 and telling you what you can expect from those drivers in the new year. Today’s entry is the driver of the #9 Stanley Tools Ford, Marcos Ambrose. Driver: Marcos Ambrose #9 Sponsor(s): Stanley Tools/DeWalt Make: Ford Team: Richard Petty Motorsports Crew Chief: Drew Blickensderfer 2012 Finish: 18th What’s new for 2013: Ambrose will have a new crew chief in Drew Blickensderfer for 2013. Mike’s Rank: 19th Mike’s Take: With his yearly tradition of winning at Watkins Glen, Ambrose always puts himself into Chase talk with the potential for a wildcard. Then each year he comes up short and falls back in the pack. Why would 2013 be any different? I’m not sure, so let’s keep the trend going! He’ll win WGI again and place 19th in the final standings. Jason’s Rank: 20th Jason’s Take: Ambrose won’t shock anyone this season and he may be vacant from victory lane. Ambrose will have the same sort of season he has had ever since stepping into the No.9 car. Brandon’s Rank: 20th Brandon’s Take: Ambrose won at Watkins Glen for the second consecutive year. Ambrose needs to find speed and consistency at the oval tracks. Brittany’s Rank: 17th Brittany’s Take: If only they raced at Watkins Glen more than once a year.
