Will the party keep going in Dayton? Hands up if you had this Sweet 16 matchup in your bracket. The Dayton Flyers, by virtue of upset wins over both Ohio State and Syracuse, will take on the Stanford Cardinal this upcoming Thursday with a spot in the Elite Eight on the line. The Cardinal knocked off New Mexico and Kansas to earn its bid. Be sure to click here for more on Stanford and Dayton. Also, check out our printable bracket here. Date: Thursday, March 27, 2014 Time:  TBD TV Channel: CBS Location: FedexForum (Memphis, TN) Announcers: TBD Opening Betting Line: TBD via Odds Shark Prediction: Statistically, this was the least-likely matchup that could have been played in this spot. Dayton and Stanford, both double-digit seeds, defied the odds by knocking off big-time opponents in their way to earn the right to play each other. Oddly enough, they’ve won games in similar ways – behind defense and rebounding rather than getting into shootouts. That being said, only one can move on. For us, that one will be Stanford – but barely. The Cardinal shot 0-for-9 from 3-point range Sunday, yet still somehow finished at 45% overall in its upset win over Kansas. We’ll guess that doesn’t happen again. Don’t expect this game to get out of the 60s – it’s going to be one of the more grind-it-out type contests of the tournament.
