49ers Head to Frozen Tundra with New Kicker

When the San Francisco 49ers hit the frozen tundra of Green Bay's Lambeau Field this weekend, they will do so with yet another short-term emergency replacement guy filling in at placekicker.With Joe Nedney still nursing a sprained knee and Shane Andrus missing two field goals in Monday night's win over the Cardinals, ProFootballTalk.com reports the 49ers have brought in former Steelers kicker Jeff Reed.Reed is the second-leading scorer in Pittsburgh Steelers history, and was Pittsburgh's Old Reliable until a 15-for-22 start to the 2010 season.
