At the start of the season, the Angels didn't have enough healthy arms. As the playoffs approach, just the opposite is true. Because of the rotation surplus, righthander Ervin Santana will start the postseason in the bullpen, according to the Los Angeles Times.
As a result, the team is expected to use John Lackey, Jered Weaver, Scott Kazmir and Joe Saunders (likely in that order) as its playoff rotation.
